Tangled ArtZ will be making an appearance at McKinney Fall Fest, and I'm excited to bring some of my creations out of the studio and into the community!
If you've been following my artistic adventures, you already know that I don't particularly enjoy staying within the boundaries of one medium.
Mixed media. Pyrography. Photography. Sculptural creations. Functional artwork.
My imagination tends to wander, and quite frankly, I encourage it.
Now comes one of my favorite parts of creating art: sharing it with others!
I'll be bringing a selection of my original handcrafted artwork for visitors to explore.
Some pieces are decorative. Others are functional. And some are simply the result of an idea that refused to leave me alone until I did something about it.
That's the beauty of Tangled ArtZ.
There's no assembly line, no expectation that every creation should look like the last, and certainly no shortage of imagination.
Every piece has its own personality.
And sometimes, its own rather interesting story.

This event is especially exciting because I'll be bringing together three of my creative and professional ventures!
Alongside Tangled ArtZ, I'll be representing Shama Bell Novelist, where visitors can discover my published novel The Meadow Gentleman and purchase signed copies.
I'll also be introducing visitors to The Southern Gent, my private luxury barbershop in Frisco, Texas.
Art, literature, and craftsmanship—all under one 10 × 10 tent!
Will I have my hands full?
Absolutely.

Shama Bell is a Texas-based artist whose work exists at the intersection of material, intention, and presence.
Working across multiple disciplines—including pyrography, glass and mirror etching, painting, metalwork, and custom wood design—her pieces are not confined to a single medium. Each work determines its own form, its own texture, and its own method of creation.
What began over two decades ago as gifted, personal creations has evolved into a refined body of work collected by those drawn to objects that invite pause, touch, and reflection.
Shama studied jewelry design through Penn Foster University, earning certification as a jeweler. She has also taught across multiple creative environments, including continuing education programs at Murray State College, where she shared her techniques in etching, metalwork, and mixed media.
Beyond the studio, her work has appeared in art and music festivals, where she developed a reputation for creating immersive, tactile pieces that bridge fine art and functional design.
Shama does not limit herself to a singular medium.
Wood, glass, metal, stone, and pigment are not separate categories—they are tools selected by the idea itself. Each piece begins with a concept that dictates its own construction, rather than forcing the concept into a predefined format.
This approach allows for a body of work that is both diverse and cohesive, unified not by material, but by intention.
Her inspiration draws from layered sources:
Her work often carries an underlying tension between precision and organic movement, structure and disruption.
Primary tools include hand etching with diamond-bit rotary work, pyrography, traditional brushwork, and custom fabrication techniques. With the addition of laser technology, her process now integrates modern precision with handcrafted detail—expanding the range of materials and finishes while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
In addition to her work as an artist, Shama Bell is a master barber and stylist with over 28 years of experience.
That discipline—precision, control, and the understanding of form—carries directly into her artwork. Each piece reflects the same attention to detail and intentional execution found in her professional practice.
Shama Bell creates pieces that are not meant to simply be seen—but experienced.
Each work is constructed to hold presence within a space, offering something that unfolds over time rather than revealing itself all at once.
Each piece you see here has been created over time—moments, materials, and ideas brought into form.
